Product Description

Slendertone Abs7 Unisex toning belt can provide toned and stronger abs from just four weeks. It’s a secret weapon to achieve the toned abs we all strive for. Use Slendertone Abs7 five times a week for four weeks to achieve stronger and more toned abs. Slendertone uses electronic muscle stimulation technology which activates the body’s natural muscle movement and ensures all muscles contract, not just those under the pads. It enables you to work your complete abdominal musculature with its patented three pad placement design, positioned around the waist and across the belly button. This targets the rectus abdominus, Oblique muscles and activate transversus abdominus that is most effective in flattening your stomach. The muscles simultaneously contract and then relax, similar to the regular muscle contraction experienced during normal exercise. The sensation is powerful enough to recruit all muscles in the targeted region, yet comfortable enough to have a conversation whilst using it. Slendertone Abs7 Unisex belt is designed to be used as part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle. It fits discreetly under clothing, so you can professionally tone anytime, anywhere.

The only down side in the cost of the replacement electrode pads. The more expensive EMS solutions (like the Compex range) pay off a bit better over time as their replacements are cheaper and they can last longer. You can also extend the live time of their pads with any common electrically conductive adhesive gel.

I was skeptical for a while before making this investment but this is great first step protect, yes it’s an expensive bit of kit, but this is within the cheaper end of the EMS spectrum (don’t waste your time with the cheap “IMATE” toning things from china). I have been using this for 6 months alongside a light cardio training program and my torso has tightened and core feeling more solid.

NOTE this will *not* rip your abs if you are overweight or eat junk food (it will halo you yes, but that fayer on fat over the abs will still be there). If all you really want is a little bit more of a boot on top of your existing light workouts this is a good product.

One thing I dont like so much is that the programs starts at level 0, every time to go up a level it makes an annoying “beep”, so the start of each workout consists of about 35 seconds of beeping and constant stimulation one one side 10 levels higher then the other and you have to catch up the other side to the same level.

Used this system first to regain tummy tone after a c-section and it worked, so now use it for couple of months prior to each bikini requiring holiday. While I notice a difference in around 4 weeks , it does take 6 – 8weeks for me to see pronounced improvement. It is vital to stick to regular use and increase intensity as the instructions clearly outline, though to achieve these results. My warnings and niggles. The necessary intensity can be uncomfortable – tho less so than sit ups! Advantage – can manage with my bad back. The pads work out expensive as they wear out quickly.

Well this is going to be the longest review I’ve ever written! To set the context, I’m 61 years old, and petite but flabby – I want to tone up. Having had a fairly active job, I’m now working from home so it’s really easy for me to sit at my computer wearing my slendertone. I bought the bottom toner and arms attachments too.

The controller wouldn’t charge on the first belt I got and it was replaced immediately – even before I sent the first one back which is brilliant.

The waist belt is very easy to use and I’m starting feel a difference after 2 weeks of daily use.

The shorts take a little more work – they’re not easy to position correctly as the flaps that hold the gel pads are very stiff and tend to ping off while I’m wearing them. This did put me off using them a little bit it is worth persisting. I find they work much better if I put my jeans on over the top to hold them in place. They’re quite snug on me and I have read other reviews from people who said they are really difficult to get in and out of. The pads often stay stuck to my bottom when I take the shorts of and I have to peel them off and stick them back onto the flaps. Slendertone, if you’re listening – I think they would be easier to manage if the flaps were less rigid.
As with the waist belt, I’m starting to see some progress though I haven’t managed to use them every day

I was really excited about the arms attachment as, like most women of my age, my upper arms need all the help they can get. I’ve really struggled with these and have only managed to use them three or four time over the two weeks I’ve had them. I find them very difficult to attach – the velcro straps are way too long (my arms aren’t big but they would easily fit around my thighs and its awkward to wrap them around) again they are quite rigid which means they don’t mold to my arm while I’m struggling to get the straps fixed. I had hoped I could wear them under the sleeves of my top which would also help hold them in place but I haven’t managed to do that. The wires to the controller connect both pads and, although they are long enough to move somewhat, its pretty impossible to do anything else while wearing them. That said, I think they will work pretty well of you can overcome the inconvenience and stick with them.
Further updates when I’ve had the set a little longer!
